This plant is a great bloomer with a variable flower color usually between blueberry and amethyst but sometimes dark magenta.

Nymphaea 'Frosted Pink' Hardy Waterlily, a Mike Giles original hybrid water lily sold exclusively at Turtle Island Waterlilies, displays a 5-7″ star/cup shaped, dark shell pink flower with stripes, slightly rounded petals, lighter center petal tips and hot orange center and dark green leaves are on long stems showing water between the leaves unless crowded and dark red-bronze when young. The flower floats or stands 2-4″ above the water in shallow water. Frosted Pink is a good bloomer, spreads 5-7' in 6 in. to 8 ft. of water, is not likely to be very adaptable because of its odorata root but it is still not fully tested, and has an unknown shade tolerance.

Nymphaea ‘Lavalette Pink’ Hardy Waterlily, a Mike Giles original hybrid waterlily sold exclusively at Turtle Island Waterlilies, displays a 3-5″ cup/star shaped, medium salmon pink flower and light green leaves with light marbling when young. The flower floats or stands 2-6″ above the water in shallow water and has a lemony fragrance. Lavalette Pink is an excellent bloomer, spreads 3-4′ in 6 in. to 6 ft. of water, is adaptable to small pots and water gardens, and is shade tolerant.

Nymphaea ‘Sunfire’, a Mike Giles exclusive hybrid hardy waterlily, displays a 6-8″ stellate shaped, generally brilliant pink flower with bright pink outer petals grading to lighter pink then to light yellow then to dark yellow. ‘Sunfire’ is an excellent bloomer, spreads 4-6′ in 8″-8′ of water, is adaptable to smaller pots and ponds (a 1 gallon pot is good), and is shade tolerant.

Nymphaea ‘Sweet Pea’ Hardy Waterlily, a Mike Giles original hybrid water lily sold exclusively at Turtle Island Waterlilies, displays a 4-6″ cup shaped, flower with dark pink outer petals with light stripes, round tipped wide petals and lighter pink center petals and medium green leaves, dark red-bronze when young. The flower floats or stands slightly above the water in very shallow water and has a very strong sweet anise or licorice smell very nice fragrance. Sweet Pea is a good bloomer, spreads 4-6′ in 6 in. to 8 ft. of water, is not likely to be very adaptable because of its odorata root but it is still not fully tested, and has an unknown shade tolerance.
