‘Turtle Island Violicious’® HXT™ is a newly registered Intersubgeneric nymphaea. The result of hybridization between tropical and hardy nymphaeas highlighting a compact Marliac-Odorata root type. This plant is a great bloomer with a variable flower color usually between blueberry and amethyst but sometimes dark magenta.

Nymphaea ‘Almost Black’ Hardy Waterlily displays a 4-6″ cup shaped, very dark red flower with almost black center petals and dark green leaves. The flower floats except in very shallow water and has a rich sweet fragrance. This waterlily is a good bloomer and spreads 3-5′ in 6 in. to 8 ft. of water and is somewhat adaptable to smaller pots and ponds. This plant has an unknown shade tolerance.

The flower floats on the surface of the water. James Brydon is an excellent bloomer in spring and early summer then less in late summer, spreads 3-5' in 6 in. to 8 ft. of water, is adaptable to smaller pots and ponds, and is shade tolerant.
